Why does my truck air system build pressure slowly?
Usually a leak that outpaces the compressor, a governor cutting out early, a restricted discharge line, or a worn compressor. Start by measuring the leak rate and the cut-out pressure; the won't-build-pressure guide walks through it.
What makes air brakes drag or fail to release?
A relay or quick-release valve not exhausting, brake compounding (applying the service brake with the spring brake already set), or brakes out of adjustment. Watch the chamber exhaust port on release to localise it.
Why is there water in my air brake tanks?
The air dryer is spent or not purging, or the vehicle has no dryer. Water in the tanks corrodes valves and can freeze in winter; drain the tanks and check the dryer purge cycle at cut-out.
